Who I am...

My name is Michael. I'm a Christian, a husband, father of 2 beautiful girls, full-time Lead Creative for a technology company, and a freelance wedding videographer. I'm kind of a nerd and a jock all mixed into one. I love video games, Star Wars, everything Marvel related (Team Iron Man) and I played baseball in college. When the weather is nice I love to go golfing with the guys.

I love junk food, especially Sour Patch Kids and Ice Cream Sandwiches. However, I love to cook. If I had an opportunity to do it all over again knowing what I know now, I would probably go into the culinary arts rather than the fine arts. I'm always on Facebook skimming through quick tutorial videos for my next recipe to try at home.

I love what I do. I'm a full-time Lead Creative/Graphic Designer so I get to incorporate video into what I do for a living every so often. I met the love of my life one random night out with a group of friends. We've been together since 2010 and we have 2 beautiful little girls together, as well as a little Maltipoo named Ellie.

I started very young when it came to video and films. At the age of 7, my brother Tom and I would regularly use the family RCA Cassette Tape Video Camera to film our very own home animation movies. It was a lot of "stop motion" animation videos with stuffed animals, but I was bitten by the video bug young.

My passion for video continued throughout High School and into my College years, where I attended Robert Morris University in Chicago, IL and studied Graphic Arts and Digital Design. It wasn't until 2013 that I finally decided to step toward doing videos on a more serious level.

I started shooting weddings back in 2013. I was actually inspired to start wedding films after I had seen a wedding video done for my (then) future sister-in-law. I was so taken by the emotional and cinematic experience I had just experienced, that I knew that I needed to get into this method of film making. So I bought a camera, and some other equipment to get me started. Four years later I'm still doing what I love and I'm only getting better and better after each wedding I do. Coming from a background much different than most event filmmakers gave me a different vision and approach to shooting and editing.

For me, it's not just making a film for a couple. I feel it's an opportunity to serve that couple, and that's ultimately what drives me to do my best. I've met some amazing couples on my journey in this amazing industry, as well as some phenomenal vendors in the wedding business. I hope to continue to serve many more couples for years to come.
